The continent of Lithas

Wild and mystical, the continent of Lithas is sparsely inhabited. Its defining features are immense forests, where ferocious creatures lie in wait to devour the unwary, and colossal mountains that offer refuge to those who wish never to be found.

The continent of Esthias

Far more civilised than Lithas, the continent of Esthias teems with towns and villages, home to people of diverse beliefs and cultures.

Yet, in its darkest corners lurk terrible creatures, driven by an insatiable thirst for blood and carnage that never abates.

The legend of the Creators

In the beginning of everything, the world was vast, deserted, and hostile. Covered with molten volcanoes, raging seas, violent cyclones, and infertile lands. On this desolate earth, four beings were born.

Which life from the Middle Ages appeals most to you? As a judge, lawyer or notary, you are one of the noblest members of society, but you can also punish those you feel deserve to be punished. King/Queen, even if you have to marry someone you don't love and you're far from the happiest person in society. All you care about is power. You're an outlaw, preferring to steal for food, live in the woods and go wherever you please, rather than follow the rules of society. As a member of the clergy, you are the link between the gods and mankind, and your power is as great as that of lords and kings. As a butcher, you belong to a special caste of the bourgeoisie and are one of the richest merchants, but you also like to bone anything you can get your hands on. Soldier, more because you want to fight than to protect the widow and the orphan. Troubadour, jeweller or even prostitute, it doesn't matter what your profession is. You're in the good books of the most powerful people, having learned to listen wherever you go to sell decisive information to the highest bidder. As a blacksmith, you can travel from town to town, satisfying your need to be on the move while practising an honest trade. Whether you're a doctor, surgeon or apothecary, you enjoy helping others, while focusing on learning, nature and people. As a miller, you're not the kind of person people notice, and you prefer to stay hidden away in your mill. Yet without you, society would starve and many trades such as bakers and merchants would not exist. As writers, parchment makers, illuminators, bookbinders and booksellers, you are endowed with great wisdom, and your writings help to entertain and uplift society.

Where would you choose to live? A villa on the Côte d'Azur. An isolated castle deep in Scotland. A luxurious chalet in the mountains. In London, you love the open-mindedness and benevolence of this city, which has also retained its culture of kings and queens. A cabin in the woods will do just fine. A house in the countryside, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Paris, New York or any other big city where you won't be noticed. It doesn't matter, as long as it's dark and cold. It's not where you live that matters to you, it's the people you're with that matter. You don't want to settle for just one place, you have properties in different locations and you have no intention of stopping. A city that's not too big, but lively enough to offer a wide choice of activities while being well surrounded.

A battle breaks out, what's your strategy? Like the greatest generals, you have devised an unstoppable strategy by listening to your advisers, but above all by trusting your instincts. You refuse to take part, you hate conflict. You give in and retreat to a place where no one can reach you. Before the fight begins, you try to find a solution. However, if no compromise is possible, you immediately jump at your enemy's throat. You win over some of your opponents by offering them a generous bribe. As for those who survive the battle, you take them to your kingdom and enslave them to serve you. You stay hidden away from the crowd, biding your time until you can strip the corpses. All those weapons should earn you a small fortune. This is already the twentieth one you've taken part in this month. You're perfectly trained and know exactly where to strike to defeat your enemies. It was you who started the conflict. You needed a diversion. You fight for your country, but if you see the enemy gaining the upper hand, you don't hesitate to change sides before the end to be on the winning side. You stand by your friends and make it your duty to protect them. You take charge of treating the wounded. The sight of blood doesn't frighten you, but you can't bear to see so much suffering. You're going to go straight into the crowd and slaughter anyone you can get your hands on.

You and your friends are lost in the middle of the forest with nothing to eat. What do you do now? You designate the strongest to go hunting, there must be some game around. As for the weaker ones, you put them in charge of fetching water while you stand guard at the camp. Of course, you'll be the first to get whatever they bring back - after all, you're the one who devised the strategy. You let the weakest die and do not hesitate to feast on their corpses. You pull branches from a tree and try to make a weapon by carving a point so that you can go hunting yourself. You go hunting with one of the survivors and kill him, making it look like an accident. Either you feed on its body or you find less appetising prey, but either way, it's one less mouth to feed. You wait until nightfall and slaughter all the survivors, building up your reserves until someone eventually finds you. You use plants and mushrooms to feed yourself and your friends. You know everything about nature and you know exactly what you can eat without risking poisoning yourself. You're not particularly good at survival, but you know you can find your way with the help of the stars. So you wait for nightfall and trust the North Star to point you north and get you out of there as quickly as possible. You make ropes from plant fibres and build shelters, while others look for food. While some of you build shelters and others go in search of food, you know that you need water to survive for at least three days. So you set off into the forest in search of this rare commodity, even if it means getting even more lost. Personally, you're cosy in front of a roaring fire. As much as you love your friends, none of them could convince you to go for a walk in the woods, where wild animals and insects abound, and maybe even killers like in horror films. Your plan has worked perfectly: you're out of sight, and there's plenty of meat to choose from. Of course, it's human meat, but that's exactly what makes your mouth water.

How do you react to danger? You love it and tend to run ahead, just to feel the adrenalin. You systematically work out a strategy to get out of trouble if things go wrong. You visualise the different alternatives open to you, preferring to choose the most peaceful outcome. You consider the various alternatives, knowing that you won't hesitate to fight if necessary. You attack first, fast and furious, so that your opponent has no time to react. Paralysed at first, you eventually retreat. At first paralysed, you end up fighting. You're not afraid of danger, either because you're carefree or because nothing scares you.
